Community Talmud Class with Sarra Lev
November 19 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, repeating until November 26, 2019
This four-week course is a rare opportunity to learn Talmud with a local rabbinic scholar and develop your Talmud skills in a new way. We will focus on the subject of shunning. What did it mean to the rabbis? Under what circumstances did they employ it? In what ways was it similar or different from what we experience today? And what can we learn from the rabbinic practice of shunning? Come join us! English translations will be available. $100 for Kol Tzedek members; $150 for non-members.
This course will take place November 5, 12, 19, & 26 and is taught by Professor Sarra Lev.
