Living Torah in 2020: Jewish Texts on Tough Topics

An event every week that begins at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, repeating until March 4, 2020
How do we root ourselves in our Jewish stories and values as we live in these times? Rabbi Annie Lewis will explore challenging social and existential issues through the lens of Jewish texts, past and present. Topics will include anti-Semitism, racism, immigration, education, gun violence, and climate justice. The class will include text study in small groups as well as group discussion.
The February 26 class will include a public lecture by Dr. Tamar Kamionkowski, professor of Biblical studies at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College.
This six-week class runs through March 4.
