Join us as we celebrate the 200th anniversary of the founding of the
Female Hebrew Benevolent Society


Susan McDonald will speak on
Rebecca Gratz: American Judaism’s First Female Philanthropist

Ms. McDonald, a Rosenbach docent for over 30-years, will discuss Gratz’s charitable and educational work as well as the romantic legends that contributed to her success as a philanthropist.

Small group tours of the Gratz family portraits and other items in the Rosenbach collection will follow the program.
