Especially in challenging times, the longing for meaning, purpose, community and connection remains unabated. In this 4-session course, we will explore the historic Jewish God ideas from biblical to modern times. With a special focus on 21st century schools of thought – ecological, neo-hasidic,”humanistic, feminist”and new neuro-theological – we will discover how these understandings may guide us today. Each class will include experiential exercises, study and discussion, and will build one on the other.
Texts will be provided, in addition to the required purchase of “Finding God: Selected Responses”, by Rifat Sonsino and Daniel Syme (Revised Edition, 2002).
Cost: $72 members ($108 non-members) Registration required
