Women’s Right to Vote at 100: Suffrage, Jewish Activism, and the Enduring Struggle for a Political Voice
April 1, 2020 @ 7:00 pm
It’s been 100 years since women in the United States were granted the right to vote. Yet, how far have we as a nation come in extending full suffrage for all and rights for women? Dr. Judith Rosenbaum, CEO of the Jewish Women’s Archive, and Professor Lila Corwin Berman of Feinstein discuss the historical significance of the fight for suffrage and the right to vote–for women, for Jews, and for Americans–and reflect on what that history should mean for us today, when countless citizens and residents in our country are disenfranchised.
Presented by Temple University’s Feinstein Center for American Jewish History, and the Rodeph Shalom Suffrage Project.
