Heymish Minyan

heymish (adj.): Yiddish for warm, comfy, and homey Heymish (n.): an egalitarian, traditional lay-led havurah, now in its 8th year, that meets once a month in homes in the Center City and South Philadelphia area for kabbalat Shabbat services. We are a welcoming minyan made up of people from various genders, sexualities, and religious backgrounds. Services are in Hebrew (with transliterations for the entire service) and incorporate lots of singing. People at all levels of observance and backgrounds are welcome! Services are followed by a vegetarian potluck.
